Poverty and Income Distribution: A Human Face

A Plea for a change in the Government

In this case, I think that there should be a change and a call for movement in order for these problems to be seen by the government. It is said that income inequality is a measure of the relative position of individuals or households in the income distribution. As for the definition of poverty, it characterizes individuals or households whose income fall below some absolute income level defined as the poverty line.
Income inequality is not just the mere reason why people suffer from poverty but also because of the lack of skills and capabilities of the people that makes them poor. We can see that in today’s time if you cannot have enough education you cannot find good paying job and that even you are hard working still it does not offer you for a high paying job. Also skills are important for the job that mostly are taught in schools that is why for people who can’t afford to send their children to school is said to have no hope for the future. Also people become poorer because of the number of people living in the household. If there are many children and the parents only have minimum wage they can’t afford the expenses for the family. I believe that even you only have a minimum wage but you live for your own it is enough for you and that you are not included in the poverty line.
For the concern for income equality I think that this is also important for the people to support their needs and their family. If there is equality among people there will be more progress and less problems for the people. If only large companies be more generous and less selfish they could start giving equality for their employees. Also the government should be equally concern on the basic needs of the people and enhancing the way of living for the people.
